ASA Election Results

The results of the ASA elections are final, and I am very happy to share that Laila Poisson has been elected to serve as Chair in 2020! Please join me in congratulating Laila, who is a vital member of the section’s leadership. Formerly the Book Review Editor and currently the Editor of the newsletter and this fantastic blog, she will serve as Chair-Elect in 2019 before her Chair term in 2020. We also congratulate former Chair Jose-Miguel Yamal who was elected to serve as the 2019-21 Council Representative.

Also on the ballot was a revision to our charter. We are pleased to announce that this item passed. You can check out the latest charter on our ASA website under the "about us" tab.
