#ASAGivingDay - This FRIDAY!

Why #ASAGivingDay? Yes, you have likely paid your ASA dues, but this is a special effort to raise money for programs that grow the area of statistics... or more specifically, grow statisticians. Programs that are directly supported by this fundraising effort include:

• ASA Datafest

• Student chapters of ASA

• K-12 outreach to engage students

• Student and early career travel fund

These programs get students and early-career professionals exposed to statistical thinking and to the statistical community.

To add to the fun and social spirit of #ASAGivingDay, there will be drawings held throughout the day for donors. There are specially designed images (like the one on this page) for use in social media. There are even suggested tweets or emails if you're feeling at a loss for words.

Please consider supporting ASA and their many programs. Then be sure to invite a friend to do the same.
